Gymnastics for All can be characterised as the basis for all sports as it encourages coordination, team work and mobility. It includes leisure activities for all age groups, in particular in the fields of -but not limited to- gymnastics, dance, apparatus gymnastics and team sports. Such activities take into account the various national and cultural particularities.
Gymnastics for All is a unique opportunity to promote a healthy and active lifestyle and acts as an important social and cultural factor. There is no other sport organising regularly major events that brings together thousands of active boys and girls, women and men.
In Europe alone, more than 10 million gymnasts practice Gymnastics for All as active members of clubs and national federations.
The Technical Committee organises three Gymnastics for all Festivals -EUROGYM, European Gym for Life Challenge and Golden Age Gym Festival- and several workshops like the Educational Choreo Camp and the Gymnastics for Fun seminar. Furthermore, European Gymnastics has been a proud partner of the European Week of Sport since its creation in 2015.

One of the highlights of the festival, apart from the opening and closing ceremonies, is the magnificent gala where groups selected are represented.
In their spare time, an active, social and cultural programme is set up to ensure the participants have the time of their life!
Moreover, the EGFL provides the opportunity to create an interesting and exciting event in gymnastics, both for the gymnasts and for the audience. It’s also the chance to create a further tool in the field of choreography and to share the ‘know how’ in order to enhance the entire field of group performances / display.
Each performance will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
• Entertainment value
• Innovation, originality and variety
• Technique, quality and safety
• Overall impression
The evaluation will be carried out by a panel of 4 experts who are experienced in the fields of performance, artistry, technique and choreography. Three people will give feedback to the coaches.
These festivals are organised every two years, in a place where it is warm and sunny, preferably in mid-season when the prices are interesting. The participants shall have the possibility to combine this event with their vacation and to spend one week in the sun.
A test event was held in 2005 in Maspalomas (ESP). With 1300 participants from 20 countries, it showed that the objectives and the programme were highly appreciated. The 1st official Golden Age Gym Festival was held in 2008, again in Maspalomas.
The Gymnastics for Fun seminar aims to give your new ideas to the questions above by exchanging ideas and experiences with participants from other countries.
The format of the Seminar includes both lessons from experts in physical training for Children and Youth and motor skills development, discussions, group studies and practical parts to share ideas of creative and funny gymnastic training.
