Continuation and end of the EC/UEG - Discussions point to the future 2020-2024

During its second day meeting, the UEG Executive Committee reviewed its financial situation. Accounts and budgets fully meet the expectations planned. "The UEG shows a stable situation, through careful management of its affairs, its faithful partners and the success of its recent competitions" said, confident, President George Guelzec (FRA).

Delegates then considered the work of the Working Group "Strategy" dedicated to the gymnastics of tomorrow and after tomorrow. The highly anticipated findings will be presented to Congress in Bratislava (SVK) in November. On this occasion, the group will deliver its recommendations and will invite delegates from the 48 member federations of the UEG to follow the paths allowing the gymnastics events and its content, to meet the expectations of the media and spectators of the cycles 2020 and 2024. "Our today’s decisions will have to be statutorily confirmed by the legislative bodies concerned. Our texts and regulations have to be accepted and validated. That takes time. To reform our structures, it is today that we must act! " underlined the President of the UEG.

Before concluding its autumn session, the Executive has designated the cities which will host the 2017 European Championships in acrobatic and aerobic gymnastics, respectively Rzeszow (POL) and Rimini (ITA).
