Women's Artistic Gymnastics Technical Committee member since 1997.
Orna Shai was a gymnast for the Israeli Junior national team from the age of 6 - 17 and has been an international judge for women's artistic gymnastics since 1979, having judged at 5 Olympic Games and 20 World Championships. Additionally, she was the chair of the Israeli Women's Artistic Gymnastics Technical Committee and technical director from 1992 - 2000 and has been the chair of the national gymnastics judges' association since 1992.
Since 1971 she is the head coach of Hapoel Tel-Aviv Gymnastics Club, the leading club in Israel for women’s artistic gymnastics.
