Former elite gymnast turned coach, Angela Gabriela Cacoveanu has successfully transmitted her knowledge to the younger generations for more than two decades. Her protegées include Olympic champions Sandra Izbasa, Silvia Stroescu, and Alexandra Eremia, whom she worked with as young gymnasts, preparing them for promotion to the national team.
Ms. Cacoveanu holds a Category 1 judging brevet and has been called upon for European Championships, World Championships, and Olympic Games. The recipient of a Masters degree in Management of Sport Activities, she is currently President of the Romanian Gymnastics Federation’s Women’s Artistic Technical Committee and responsible for the federation’s Women’s Gymnastics department.
