Aerobic Gymnastics

Aerobic Gymnastics is the ability to perform continuous complex and high intensity movements to music. Originated from the traditional aerobic classes, an aerobic gymnastics routine must continuously integrate the performance of physical qualities like coordination, flexibility and strength with the perfectly executed traditional aerobics movements. The formula of this sport is also the combination of perfectly executed difficulty elements with lifts and interactions. All these ingredients in the right proportion will give the most spectacular and interesting routine. European Gymnastics has held the first Aerobic Gymnastics European Championships in 1999, and since, they are organised every two years. Both junior and senior gymnasts get to compete. European Gymnastics is also proud of the other activities they organise: an annual training camp under the guidance of the world’s best experts and workshops and seminars of different topics to increase the knowledge about the sport, its rules and competitions in our continent. The coaches, gymnasts and judges are helping making this sport interesting and fun, not only for themselves but also for the public. There are seven categories:
