Work in harmony and trust
An infusion of choreography and complex acrobatic skills performed in partnership. With no apparatus the gymnasts work in harmony and trust, each responsible for their partner(s).
Exercises are performed on a standard gymnastic floor impose on gymnasts a need for strength, agility, flexibility, balance and acrobatic skills. The results are spectacular, intricate balances, exciting multiple somersaults and twisting somersaults with partners being pitched and caught. A requirement, and opportunity, to express their artistry and individual gymnastics skills makes this discipline a delight for spectators, and a tremendous feeling of attainment for gymnasts.
European Gymnastics organises European Championships every two years. Both junior and senior gymnasts get to compete. Preceding the Europeans, we also organise the European Age Group competitions, for two age groups: 11 – 16 and 12 – 18. European Gymnastics is also proud of the other activities they organise: an annual training camp under the guidance of the world’s best experts and workshops and seminars of different topics to increase the knowledge about the sport, its rules and competitions in our continent.
